For over a decade, REDSTAR (fromally RMS, LLC) has experienced success and growth in the ag industry through the sale of seed, fertilizer, chemical, precision farming and a growing list of other agricultural services. REDSTAR is always openly looking to expand the growing sales team. 

Position

REDSTAR is openly seeking a motivated Agricultural Sales Representative responsible for managing existing accounts and attracting new customers. This position will assist customers with the proper product selection and use of products based on specific agronomic needs. The Agricultural Sales Representation will maintain and develop profitable customer relationships while being a supportive team member of REDSTAR.

 

 

   What we are looking for:

  • Ability to establish strong relationships with personnel, peers, and customers

  • Knowledge of agricultural production

  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively

  • Capability of handling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Computer literate

  • Ability to travel by vehicle or commercial transportation to other STAR Partner locations and/or customer farms, ect.

 

 

   Key Personal Attributes:

  • Degree in Agriculture or Business-related field (preferred but not required)

  • Three to five years’ experience in the Agricultural industry (preferred but not required)

  • CCC License (preferred but not required)

  • Positive attitude

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with small and large groups

  • Detailed and accurate

  • Willingness to learn 

  • Desire to embrace technology 

 

 

   Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a current list of customers and prospects

  • Build long-term relationships with farmers that will generate sales of seed, fertilizer, chemicals and other ag related products and services

  • Make sales calls and visit with customers and prospects

  • Recommend and sell products and services that align with the customers needs

  • Implement marketing and sales plans

  • Establish and meet sales goals

  • Keep educated on agronomic products and trends

  • Support other team members 

  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance skill set and knowledge base

  • Present a professional image to our customers in all interactions (verbal, computer and face-to-face) through personal appearance and overall demeanor

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in an efficient manner

  • Stand behind and defend all products of REDSTAR 

 

 

   Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary with commision (to be determined based on experience and other factors)
