BMO 81 is a soil and foliar product designed to provide both boron and molybdenim to developing crops to help them maximize their growth and development. BMO 81 contains 8% boron and 1% molybdenum for maximum availability to the crop. 

Boron is a crucial nutrient in all crops, and is typically deficient in most soils across the country. Boron performs several key functions in the plant. Boron in corn is most crucial at VT in order to help the plant move from vegetative production to reproductive functions. Boron should be applied with every foliar pass on corn and soybeans to help the plant move other nutrients more efficiently. Boron is a key factor in pod retention in soybeans and kernel development in corn as it helps move sugars from leaves to pods and ears in both crops.

Molybdenum (Moly) is crucial in both corn and soybeans because it plays a key roll in nitrogen assimilation and protein production. Moly is a nutrient that very few people test for in soil or tissue tests. Moly is crucial in the nitrate reductase process in converting nitrate into plant-usable ammonia. Moly is also key for nitrogen production in soybeans and key factor in chlorophyll production. Without moly, soybeans may not nodulate properly which can lower nitrogen available in the plant.
